Last October 31, 2011 ALPHA PHI OMEGA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (SINGAPORE) once again showed their unity in making Oktoberfest-event for a cause (drink-all-you can) successful at Union Square, The Amara.

148 tickets has been sold to members, colleagues, friends and family to raise a fund for the scholarship of Angono Learning Center students and Medical Assistance for an APOAAS member. Aside from the over flowing drinks, the event was a blast because of the performance of the live bands - The Cube, Benedictus, and Dead Macoys, which made the crowd wild.

Kudos to all who participated and made this event successful.

APOAAS brothers and sisters were able to raise a significant amount to help typhoon victims in Bulacan Province that was devastated by Typhoon Pedring last September. APOAAS donated cash channelled through the APO Bulacan to purchase and pack relief goods for the displaced victims. We believe that even in our own little ways of sharing and helping those in need will bring hope to them and somehow alleviate from their misery.

This year’s International Coastal Cleanup Singapore (ICCS) was held on the 17thof September 2011 and again on its 5thconsecutive year of participation, the Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association of Singapore (APOAAS) was able to collect about 129kg of trash from Pasir Ris Beach area 3 and Sungei Api-Api mangrove. With more than 20 brothers, sisters and friends participating in the event, in the spirit of community service, it was a huge success and we’re looking forward for next year’s ICCS.

Last September 3, 2011, more than 40 APOAAS members gathered once again with their friends and relatives to participate and support  the Patak Dugo - Bloodletting event at Bloodbank@HSA. Inspite of that short notice released by the HSA (Red Cross) that they are in need of more blood donors,  APOAAS never failed to show that they are always be of service to others, and that they are willing to donate every ounce of their blood with love.
